# Ad and Deal Health: Find live Meta ads, yours and rivals', that land on broken pages, sold-out products or dead offers.

> Ad and Deal Health runs on RivalSweeper. It follows every live Meta ad, yours and your rivals', through its redirects to the real landing page and flags the ones that land on a broken page, a sold-out or zero-priced product, or an offer that has already ended.

- Broken pages: 404 and 410, domains that no longer exist, removed products falling back to the homepage, invisible characters in the ad link
- Dead deals: end dates in the ad, image or homepage banner that have passed, and 'today only' urgency running for weeks
- Your problems become high-priority to-dos; rival findings stay private to your account

## An ad can deliver perfectly and still send every click nowhere

Ads Manager tells you an ad is active and spending. It does not tell you the product it promotes sold out last Tuesday, the landing URL now falls back to the homepage, or the domain was typed with a letter missing. Clicks keep costing money and ROAS drops for a reason nobody looks for.

Offers age the same way. A creative saying 'ends Sunday' or 'today only' is still live three weeks later because nobody paused it after the promo, which wastes spend and, in the EU, is a regulatory problem.

Rivals have the same failures. When a competitor's ad lands on a dead page or sold-out product, their shoppers click into nothing. That is a conquesting window: the demand is still there, and your in-stock page can be what they see next.

- On Oct 14, 2026 a live Meta ad from a French yoga and activewear brand, running since Oct 12 across Facebook, Instagram, Messenger, Threads and Audience Network, linked to a domain that does not exist. (source: https://www.rivalsweeper.com/use-cases/competitor-broken-ads)
- Under the EU Unfair Commercial Practices Directive, falsely stating that a product or its terms are available only for a very limited time is on the list of practices banned in all circumstances (Annex I, point 7). (source: https://eur-lex.europa.eu/eli/dir/2005/29/oj)

## How it works

1. **Scope it on a short call.** Book a call and name your brand, the rivals you bid against and the markets that matter. The scope sets one clear quote.
2. **Every live ad is followed.** Ads seen running in the last 3 days are pulled from Meta's public ad library and followed through every redirect to the real landing page.
3. **Landing pages and offers are checked.** Each destination is checked for a broken page or dead domain, a sold-out or zero-priced product (with a recent read) and an offer past its printed end date.
4. **Findings land as to-dos.** Your own ad problems become high-priority to-dos to fix or pause. Rival findings appear as neutral intelligence, visible only in your account.

## Features

- **Redirect-aware landing checks.** Follows the ad link through every redirect to the final page, catching tracking links that now end on an error and product URLs that fall back to the homepage.
- **Dead domain and hidden-character detection.** A DNS lookup catches links to domains that do not exist, such as a one-letter typo. Invisible characters that break the link are flagged too.
- **Out of stock and zero-price flags.** Flagged only with a recent stock and price read. With an older read the finding is marked 'not verified', not guessed.
- **Expired offer detection.** End dates printed in the ad text, image or homepage banner are compared with today; 'today only' urgency running for weeks is flagged.
- **Your ads and rivals' in one view.** The same checks on your ads and competitors'. Your problems are prioritized for fixing; rivals' are context for conquesting and timing.
- **Never published.** Findings about rivals stay inside your own account. RivalSweeper never publishes them.

## Who it's for

- **PPC managers and media buyers.** You run paid social budgets. You find ads wasting clicks on dead pages before the ROAS review does, and spot rival ads sending shoppers nowhere.
- **Performance agencies.** Many accounts, many promo calendars. Expired offers and broken destinations surface as a fix list before a client finds them.
- **Ecommerce managers with a large catalog.** Products sell out weekly while ads keep pointing at them. You get the ads to pause or repoint, with the check that failed.

## Works with

Public ad libraries (Meta), Meta placements: Facebook, Instagram, Messenger, Threads, Audience Network, Email alerts, RSS feeds, REST API (Pro and up), MCP for Claude and other AI assistants

## Pricing

Ad and Deal Health is custom-priced and set up on a short call; the first call is free and confidential. Landing-page checks cover Meta ads today. Basic and Pro are standard RivalSweeper plans for wider competitor monitoring: USD, monthly, cancel any time, 14-day money-back.

| Plan | Price | Includes |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Basic | $39 per month | 2 monitored domains, 1 owned domain; 1 user; Marketing activity reports; Stock and availability tracking (supported websites); Price movement and discount tracking (supported websites) |
| Ad and Deal Health | Custom scoped on a short call | Every live Meta ad followed to its real landing page; Broken pages, dead domains, hidden characters in links; Out of stock and zero-price products (with a recent read); Expired offers and stale 'today only' urgency; Own-brand problems as high-priority to-dos |
| Pro | $199 per month | 15 monitored domains, less than $14 per domain; 5 users; Up to 20,000 products per competitor; 10 RSS feeds; API, 10,000 requests a month, and MCP |

## Compared with the alternatives

- **Clicking through ads by hand.** Fine for a handful of ads. It misses redirects that break later, products that sell out between checks and offers that expire on a weekend, and nobody does it for rivals.
- **Platform ad review.** Platforms review ads at submission. They do not tell you when a page that was fine at launch breaks or a product sells out mid-flight, and say nothing about rivals.
- **Website uptime monitors.** Tell you if your site is down. They check URLs you give them, not every live ad's destination, and cannot read an expired date in an ad image.

## Security and data

- RivalSweeper reads public pages and public ad libraries; no connection to your store, ad account or analytics is needed.
- Findings about rivals are visible only inside your own account and are never published.
- Stock and price flags are only raised on a recent read; older reads are marked 'not verified'.

## Your first week

Set up with you on a short call; then the checks run on the live Meta ads in scope.

- Day 1: Book a short call: your brand, the rivals you bid against, the markets to cover.
- After the call: you get the agreed scope and one clear quote.
- Setup: brand and rivals are added; their live Meta ads are followed to their landing pages.
- Ongoing: own-ad problems arrive as high-priority to-dos, rival findings as intelligence in your account.

## FAQ

### Does it check Google or TikTok ads?

Not today. Landing-page and offer checks cover Meta ads (Facebook, Instagram, Messenger, Threads, Audience Network).

### Do you need access to our ad account?

No. Ads are read from Meta's public ad library and landing pages are fetched as a shopper would see them.

### How do you decide a product is out of stock?

From a recent stock and price read of the product page. If the latest read is older, the finding is marked 'not verified' rather than reported as fact.

### What happens with findings about competitors?

They are neutral intelligence, visible only inside your account, and never published. How you use them in your own bidding is your call.

### How is it priced?

Custom, based on the brands, rivals and markets in scope, set on a short call. The first call is free and confidential.

### Is the expired-offer flag a legal opinion?

No. It tells you a printed end date has passed or an urgency claim has run for weeks. Whether that breaches a rule in your market is for your counsel.
