The contact form your AI builder didn't finish
Form Relay is the backend for forms on sites that don't have one: Lovable, Bolt, v0, Framer, Webflow exports and plain static hosting. Copy a snippet written to be pasted into your builder's prompt, and submissions arrive filtered for spam and routed to WhatsApp, Slack, email, Google Sheets or your CRM.
- Snippets are written as prompt text ('add a contact form that posts to this endpoint with these fields') so the builder wires it correctly on the first try, with a plain HTML version too.
- Each submission is scored by an AI spam classifier plus a honeypot and rate limits; spam is held in a review folder, not deleted.
- Routing is per form: a WhatsApp message to a verified number, a Slack channel, email with Reply-To set to the sender, a row in Google Sheets, a HubSpot contact, or a webhook.
Web3Forms, a form backend run as a small business, reports about $40,854 in monthly recurring revenue from roughly 2,960 active subscriptions, hosted on Hetzner with billing via Paddle.

Source: trustmrr.comAI builders ship good-looking sites with forms that go nowhere
Lovable, Bolt, v0 and similar tools generate a complete-looking website in minutes, including a contact form. Then the submit button does nothing, or the builder suggests setting up a database and serverless functions to receive the message. That is a lot of plumbing for 'send me the message'.
The same gap exists on Framer sites below the plan that includes forms, on Webflow exports, and on every static site on Netlify, Vercel or GitHub Pages. Form backends are an established category because of it: the leading ones have thousands of paying subscribers. Most were designed for developers editing HTML, send to email only by default, and treat spam as your problem.
Form Relay is designed for the way sites are built now: a snippet you give to the AI, spam filtering that uses the message content rather than a captcha your visitors hate, and routing to where small teams actually read messages, which is WhatsApp as often as Slack.

With Form Relay

How it works
- 1
Create a form and copy the snippet
Name the form, choose fields, and pick your builder. You get a prompt-ready snippet ('Add a contact form that POSTs to this URL with fields name, email, message; on success show a thank-you message') or plain HTML and JavaScript. Two minutes.
- 2
Paste it into your builder or site
Paste the prompt into Lovable, Bolt or v0, or the HTML into Framer, Webflow or your static site. The builder generates the form against our endpoint; your domain is allow-listed so nobody else can post to it.
- 3
Choose where messages go
Turn on one or more destinations: WhatsApp (to a number you verify), Slack, email, Google Sheets, HubSpot or a webhook. Set an auto-reply to the sender if you want one.
- 4
Submissions arrive, spam doesn't
Each message passes a honeypot check, rate limits and an AI classifier. Clean messages are delivered within seconds; suspicious ones are held in a review folder you can glance at weekly.
Features
Prompt-ready snippets
Every form has a copyable prompt tuned for Lovable, Bolt, v0 and Cursor, plus plain HTML and a fetch() example. The snippet includes field names, success and error handling and the honeypot field.
AI spam filtering
Content-based classification of each submission combined with a honeypot field, per-IP and per-form rate limits and optional disposable-email blocking. No captcha required; you can add one if you prefer.
WhatsApp delivery
Submissions arrive as a WhatsApp message on a number you verify, sent through the WhatsApp Business Platform. Popular with small businesses in Israel, Latin America and anywhere WhatsApp is the inbox.
Slack, email, Sheets, HubSpot, webhooks
Send each form to any combination. Email uses our authenticated domains with Reply-To set to the visitor, so you can reply from your inbox; Sheets appends a row per submission; HubSpot creates or updates a contact.
File uploads
Accept attachments up to 10 MB per submission (Pro and Agency), stored encrypted and linked from the notification.
Lead validation (add-on)
Optionally check the submitter's email deliverability and phone number format before routing, so your WhatsApp alerts are for real leads. Billed per check.
Agency workspaces
Group forms by client, invite clients to see only their own submissions, and export per client. Notifications can carry your branding.
A look inside
What you see day to day: the working view and the monthly summary.
Who it's for
Freelancers building sites with Lovable, Bolt or v0
You deliver sites quickly and the form is the last thing blocking handover. You get a working endpoint in minutes and a destination the client actually reads.
Agencies managing dozens of client sites
You need one place to manage every client's forms, with spam handled and per-client access. The Agency plan is built for that.
Founders with a landing page
Your site is static and you want enquiries in Slack or WhatsApp without standing up a backend. Starter covers it.
Small businesses in WhatsApp-first markets
Your customers expect a reply on WhatsApp within minutes. Submissions land there directly, with the visitor's details formatted so you can reply at once.

Compared with the alternatives
- Web3Forms, Formspree, Formcarry and other form backends
- Established services with generous free tiers (Web3Forms in particular) and email delivery. If your site is hand-coded HTML and email is your inbox, they are good and cheap. Form Relay differs in prompt snippets, AI spam filtering and WhatsApp routing.
- Your builder's native forms
- Framer and Webflow include forms on some plans, with their own limits and destinations. If you're on such a plan and email is enough, use them. Lovable, Bolt and v0 don't include a hosted form backend; they generate code that needs one.
- Supabase or a serverless function
- The route the builders suggest. Fully flexible, and you own the data, but you'll write and maintain the function, spam handling and notifications yourself.

Your first week
We onboard new accounts within 2 business days, though most forms are live within ten minutes of signup. The first week is about routing and spam tuning.
- Day 1: Create your first form, paste the snippet into your builder, and send a test submission to email or Slack.
- Day 2–3: Verify your WhatsApp number or connect Google Sheets and HubSpot; set the auto-reply.
- Day 5: Check the spam review folder together and adjust thresholds if any real messages were held.
- Day 7: Add remaining sites or client workspaces; export your first week's submissions.
Security and data
- Submissions and uploads are stored encrypted at rest; you choose EU or US storage at signup. All endpoints are HTTPS only.
- Domain allow-listing prevents other sites from posting to your endpoint; API keys are hashed and revocable.
- Message text used for spam scoring is processed by an AI classifier under a data processing agreement and not used to train models.
- Retention follows your plan (90 days to 1 year, configurable shorter); deletion per submission is immediate, and account deletion removes all data within 30 days.
Questions
Will the snippet really work with my builder?
The prompt snippets are tested against current Lovable, Bolt and v0 output. Builders change; if a generated form doesn't submit, send us the generated code and we'll fix the snippet or your form within a business day. The plain HTML version works anywhere.
How does the WhatsApp delivery work?
We send notifications from our verified WhatsApp Business number to numbers you verify with a one-time code, using pre-approved message templates. The visitor's details are in the message; you reply to the visitor by email or phone, not inside that thread.
What happens to spam?
Submissions scored as spam are held in a review folder for 30 days, not deleted, and never delivered to WhatsApp or Slack. You can release false positives with one click, which also tunes your form's filter.
Can visitors reply to my emails?
Yes. Notification emails set Reply-To to the visitor's address, so replying from your inbox goes to them. On Pro you can send from your own domain after adding our DNS records.
Is my submission data safe and GDPR-compliant?
Submissions are encrypted at rest, retained for your plan's period, and deletable per submission or per form. A data processing agreement is available, and you can choose EU-only storage at signup. Spam scoring sends the message text to an AI classifier under our DPA.
What if an AI builder adds a native form backend?
Some will. We're month-to-month, and switching away costs nothing. Our bet is that spam filtering, WhatsApp routing and agency management stay worth $5–49 a month even then.
Do you have a free plan?
A 30-day trial with 50 submissions, no card required. After that, Starter is $5 a month; a low paid tier lets us afford spam filtering and reliable delivery.
