For older adults and the family members who help with their bills

Every forgotten subscription found, and the cancellations made easy

Old streaming trials, magazine renewals, 'protection plans', two phone insurances, an app subscription from a game the grandchildren played once. Send us three months of statements and Bill Sweep lists every recurring charge in plain English, marks what looks unused, duplicated or recently increased, and gives you the exact steps or a ready letter to cancel each one. One price, paid once. We never log in to the bank.

  • Works from PDF statements or a photo of a paper statement; no bank login, no app, no access to the account.
  • Each charge explained: who the company is, what it probably is, how much it costs per year and whether it looks unused.
  • Cancellation steps, phone numbers and pre-written letters for every charge you decide to stop.

Why now

Small charges add up quietly, and the statements are hard to read

Recurring charges are designed to be forgotten: a free trial turns into a monthly payment, an annual renewal arrives once a year with a cryptic name, a price rises by a dollar at a time. On a parent's statement the merchant names are often abbreviations nobody recognizes.

Families usually discover the problem by accident, when helping with something else, and then face an afternoon of decoding names, searching for phone numbers and sitting in cancellation queues.

Apps that track subscriptions exist, but they need a bank login and a monthly fee, which is a lot to ask of a parent who just wants the list cleaned up once. Bill Sweep does it from the statements you already have, for one price.

How it works

How it works

  1. 1

    Send the statements

Upload three months of bank and card statements as PDFs, or photos of paper statements. Account numbers can be blacked out; we only need the transactions.

  2. 2

    We find every recurring charge

Each repeating payment is identified, the merchant name decoded, the yearly cost worked out, and duplicates or recent price rises marked.

  3. 3

    You decide what to keep

A one-page list in large print, sorted by yearly cost, with a keep or cancel box next to each line. Tick what to stop.

  4. 4

    Cancel with ready steps

For each charge to stop: the direct cancellation link, the phone number and what to say, or a pre-written letter. On the Done-with-you plan we make the calls with you.

What it does

Features

Merchant names decoded

'PP*APPLE.COM/BILL' and 'SQ *MAGAZINE SVC' turned into the actual company and product, so nobody has to guess what a charge is.

Yearly cost view

Every recurring charge shown as a yearly total, which makes the $7.99 that nobody notices look like the $96 it really is.

Duplicates and price rises

Two services doing the same job, the same subscription billed on two cards, and charges that went up in the last three months, all flagged.

Large-print summary

A one-page list designed to be read at the kitchen table, printed or on a tablet, with a simple keep or cancel box.

Cancellation kit

Direct links, phone numbers, what to say, and ready letters for companies that only accept written cancellation.

Done with you

On the higher plan, we join the cancellation calls on speaker, handle the chat cancellations together and confirm each one is stopped.

Re-check in 90 days

Send the next three months of statements and we confirm the cancelled charges really stopped, at no extra cost.

Compared with the alternatives

Subscription-tracking apps
Rocket Money and similar apps track charges continuously and can cancel for you, from a monthly fee and with a bank connection. Great for people who want ongoing tracking; more than needed for a one-time clean-up.
Reading the statements yourself
Free, and the only cost is an afternoon: decoding merchant names, finding phone numbers and waiting on hold. Bill Sweep hands you the decoded list and the steps.
Asking the bank to block a merchant
Banks can sometimes stop a recurring card payment. It's a useful last resort, but it doesn't cancel the contract, and the company may chase the debt.

Getting started

From statements to a clean list

We confirm your request within one business day and return the decoded list within 2 business days of receiving the statements.

  1. Day 1: Request the service and upload or photograph the statements.
  2. Day 2–3: Decoded list with yearly costs and keep or cancel boxes delivered.
  3. Day 3–5: Cancellations done with the kit, or with us on the Done-with-you plan.
  4. Day 90: Send the latest statements; we confirm the charges stopped.

Security and data

  • We never ask for or use bank logins; we work only from the statements you send.
  • Statements are stored encrypted and deleted 30 days after the 90-day re-check, or sooner on request.
  • Account numbers can be blacked out before upload, and we ignore any that are not.
  • Only the person handling your sweep can see the documents, and every access is logged.

Questions

Do you need the bank login?

No, never. We work only from statements you send, and account numbers can be blacked out. We cannot see or touch the account.

How long does it take?

The decoded list arrives within 2 business days of receiving the statements. Cancellations take as long as each company takes; most are done the same day.

What if we can't tell what a charge is?

That's most of what we do. If a merchant can't be identified with certainty, we say so and suggest how to ask the bank for the merchant's details.

Can you get money back for charges nobody used?

Sometimes. Where a company has a refund policy or the charge was a forgotten trial, the kit includes how to ask. We don't promise refunds and don't take a share of them.

Is my parent's information safe?

Statements are stored encrypted and deleted 30 days after the re-check. Only the person working on your sweep sees them.

Is this financial advice?

No. Bill Sweep identifies and explains recurring charges; you decide what to keep. For decisions about insurance or investments, talk to a qualified adviser.
