Know which rivals went on sale this week, and how deep
RivalSweeper reads your competitors' own storefronts every day and records what each product sells for after the discount. One view shows who is on sale, how much of their range is marked down, how deep and what sold out, so the trading meeting starts from numbers, not forwarded newsletters.

Rival sales hit your conversion rate before they reach your inbox
When a competitor goes to 30% off, you usually find out from a dip in conversion or a forwarded promo email. By the Monday trading meeting the question is how much margin to give away, and nobody can say how much of the rival's range is actually discounted or how deep the cuts go.
Banner copy is a poor guide. 'Up to 60% off' might cover four products, a 'compare at' price might never have been charged, and sale pages rarely show what has already sold out. Without per-product numbers, the answer that feels safe is a sitewide code, which is also the most expensive one. In the EU, your own announced reduction must also show your lowest price of the previous 30 days, so answering on specific lines is cleaner than a rushed sitewide sale.

With Competitor Promotion Tracker
- Share of each rival's range on sale, with median and deepest discount side by side
- Price, promotion and catalog changes surface within 48 hours
- Only real drops count: a standing 'compare at' price is never logged as a sale
- On-sale share per rival

How it works
- 1
Add your store and main rival
Start the trial and add both domains. Tracking starts once you confirm your email; first data arrives within 24 hours.
- 2
Daily storefront reads
Full price, current price and stock status for each rival product, every day, kept as a dated history from the day tracking starts.
- 3
Weekly promotion view
Share of range on sale per rival, median and deepest discount, the hardest cuts and what has cleared.
- 4
Decide where to answer
Respond on the lines where you overlap, hold full price where a rival is only clearing stock, and keep the sitewide code for when the numbers call for it.
Features
On-sale share per rival
How many of each competitor's measured products are discounted, for example 304 of 790, so a sitewide event is not confused with a few marked-down lines.
Median and deepest discount
The typical cut and the single deepest cut per brand, so an 'up to 70% off' banner is read against what most of the range is doing.
Effective price per product
What each product sells for after the discount, with full price and stock status from the same daily read.
Clearance flag
Marked down 40% or more and now sold out = cleared. The rival was moving old stock, not starting a price war.
Their own storefronts
Shopify, WooCommerce, Magento and other storefronts, read from public pages on supported websites.
Dated promotion history
Every change is dated, so after a few weeks you see how often each rival runs a sale and for how long.
What the promotion view showed on Oct 15, 2026
A real, anonymized RivalSweeper read of four swimwear and resortwear brands. This is the table to look at before deciding whether to answer a rival's sale.
| Brand | On sale / measured | Median depth | Deepest | Cleared |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Brand A | 304 / 790 | 35% | 73% | 4 |
| Brand B | 83 / 1,660 | 39% | 64% | 9 |
| Brand C | 30 / 53 | 30% | 40% | 0 |
| Brand D | 28 / 82 | 20% | 50% | 0 |
- Only verified markdowns count: a real drop from a price the product held, never a standing 'compare at' price.
- Cleared = marked down 40% or more and now sold out.

Questions
How is a real discount different from a sale banner?
Only verified markdowns count: a real drop from a price the product actually held. A standing 'compare at' price that was never charged is ignored, so permanent 'was' prices do not inflate a rival's numbers.
How quickly will I see a rival's sale?
Within 48 hours. It is a daily read, not an instant alert, which suits a weekly trading decision.
Do I need to connect my store or analytics?
No. Competitor monitoring reads public product pages. Nothing is installed and no store, ad or analytics account is connected.
Can I see a rival's sales from before I started tracking?
No. History starts the day a store is added, so add your main rivals before your next big promo period.
Which plan fits an ecommerce team?
Basic covers 2 monitored domains plus your store for one user. Pro covers 15 domains and 5 users, with API access and 10 RSS feeds.
What happens when the trial ends?
Access pauses and nothing is charged. Paid plans are monthly, cancel any time, with a 14-day money-back guarantee.
